Marshfield Public Library News and Events

End of Summer Notes

As end of summer road construction makes it more difficult to get to the Marshfield Public Library,  there are many ways to access us.  The Library is available by phone at (715) 387-8494 or Fax (715) 387-6909 or email at refdesk@marshfieldlibrary.org or through a variety of request forms and a broad range of electronic resources on the Library website at www.marshfieldlibrary.org   Of course, you can always visit the Marshfield Public Library during our generous open hours.  These will be changing to our fall/winter/spring schedule, just after Labor Day.  During these seasons, the Library is open Monday – Friday 9 a.m. – 9 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., and Sunday 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Because the Library realizes that  information is important to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week,  it participates in a nationwide collaborative effort to make Librarian assistance available anytime, online.  To use this service, known as Ask?Away, just visit the Library website (www.marshfieldlibrary.org) , scan down the right column of the homepage and just beneath the “Library Links” heading you will find “Ask?Away”.  Clicking on this link takes you to a page of information explaining the service and a short set of form questions to get you connected.  From then on you are dialoging with a real live Librarian (not necessarily in Marshfield or Wisconsin), who will work with you in a chat-like mode to answer your questions.
